The Dhammikarama Burmese Templeis the only Burmese Buddha temple located outside Burma featuring statues of his meditation pose contributed by devotees at various parts of the temple. This serene temple that was built in 1805 also houses a Bodhi tree and a wishing pond. Walking around the temple, you will also get to see a series of panels with beautiful murals depicting moving scenes from the journey of Prince Siddharta achieving Nirvana and becoming Buddha. 

This temple is also known as the first buddhist temple in Penang. It is extremely busy during Wesak Day and Thankyan (Water Festival) in April.
