Along with progress and population growth, the amount of waste we create is also rapidly increasing by the day. When we recycle, used materials can be converted into new products instead of just turning into waste that will pile up at landfill sites, releasing harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses. By recycling used materials into industry-ready materials, we are also decreasing the amount of energy that is needed to produce new products from raw materials, hence preserving our natural resources for the future generations.
Realizing the importance of recycling, Lexis Hotel Group is determined to play a more significant role in protecting our natural environment. As a key player in the local hospitality industry, Lexis Hotel Group has been using its platform to promote environmental conservation awareness amongst the community through various Go Green Campaigns. Having switched the personal care amenities in all of its properties to those made from biodegradable materials, Lexis Hotels Group also actively participate in the "Buy Back" Used Bottle Program initiatiated by Seven Seas Amenities, where all Lexis hotels and resorts collect and return amenities bottles for recycling purposes.
Other than amenities bottles, Lexis Hotel Group also take part in Seven Seas Amenities's Used Soap Exchange Campaign where lightly-used soaps bars and liquid amenities (including shower gel, shampoo and hair conditioner) from all the guest rooms are collected and returned to be repurposed and donated to communities with limited access to sanitation products. This ensures that these perfectly usable sanitation products will not be turned into wastage and end up in the landfills, but instead into the hands of those who need them the most.
